Katrina Kaif plays a superstar, Deepika Padukone, a desi girl in Shah Rukh Khan - Aanand L Rai’s next!

In the past, Aanand L Rai confirmed that his next with Shah Rukh Khan is a two heroine project and he is in talks with a few big names to come on board.

According to media reports, the director has finally locked the star cast and plans to announce the same in a couple of weeks’ time. Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif have come on board as the leading ladies in the film and the modalities are currently being worked out.

Our sources inform that Katrina Kaif will essay the character of a leading Bollywood star in the film whereas Deepika Padukone will be seen as a rural Indian girl romantically paired with SRK. The initial title of the film was ‘Katrina Meri Jaan’ as the basic premise is about the journey of a little man, from a small town in India, to meet his idol, Katrina Kaif.

Katrina Meri Jaan is just a working title and the actual title is expected to be announced along with the rest of the star-cast. Aanand L Rai and Himanshu Sharma are said to have worked on the script of the film for over three years.

The film will see Shah Rukh Khan as a little man for the first time in his career. The movie is a Christmas 2018 release

Hey, that was about the movies. Here's what you can do in real life - Tetra Pak has launched an inspiring campaign, ‘Cartons le aao, classroom banao'. It is a recycling initiative that motivates people to deposit their used Tetra Pak cartons at the nearest Sahakari Bhandar or Reliance Fresh, so that they can then recycle them into desks, notebooks and entire classrooms for lesser privileged children. Tetra Pak has also launched a video showing a child enthusiastically collecting the cartons from his home to be deposited at a collection centre because he wants to do his bit for the cause.

Tetra Pak’s cartons recycling campaign has created a stir as it not only raises awareness among the citizens about the importance of environment conservation but also inspires them to help the lesser privileged.

बॉलीवुड के किंग खान शाहरुख खान अपनी आने वाली फिल्म बंधुआ के लिये बेहद उत्साहित हैं। शाहरुख खान की फिल्म रईस हाल ही में प्रदर्शित हुई है। शाहरुख का यह साल काफी व्यस्त रहने वाला है। शाहरुख की आने वाली फिल्म निर्देशक आनन्द एल.राय के साथ है जिसका शीर्षक ‘बंधुआ’ रखा गया है। हालांकि स्थायी तौर पर यह शीर्षक नहीं है। फिल्म में शाहरुख बौना के किरदार में नजर आयेंगे। शाहरुख का कहना है कि वे इस फिल्म को लेकर काफी उत्साहित हैं।

शाहरुख़ खान पहली बार निर्देशक आनंद एल राय के साथ काम करने जा रहे हैं। पहले यह फिल्म सलमान खान को लेकर बनाई जाने वाली थी, लेकिन बात नही बन सकी। बंधुआ की तुलना कमल हासन की ढाई दशक पूर्व आई ‘अप्पू राजा’ से की जा रही है। शाहरुख ने कहा फिल्म का किरदार कमल हसन की अप्पू राजा से मेल नहीं खाता है। उनका किरदार कमल हसन की ‘अप्पू राजा’ से काफी अलग है।

हम ने काफी लुक टेस्ट किये हैं। हम अब ट्रेलर को लेकर काफी एक्साइटेड हैं। जिसे हम प्रॉपर प्लानिंग के साथ रिलीज़ करने जा रहे हैं। ऑडियंस हमारे प्रयासों को जरुर पसंद करेगी। उन्होंने कहा कि दो तीन दिनों में हम इस किरदार को प्रेप करना शुरु कर देंगे।

Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees is going strong at the box office, even though it hasn’t managed to reach Dangal’s stratospheric figures. Of course, the clash with Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil hasn’t helped matters.

One person who certainly knows a thing or two about epic battles is Akhilesh Yadav. For the last two months, Akhilesh has been fighting his own family members, including his father, to wrest control of the party and now faces an uphill task against PM Modi’s BJP and Mayawati’s BSP, though he does have a little help from Rahul Gandhi and Congress. Although some political analysts would suggest that the Congress would hamper the Samajwadi Party.


While voters will decide whether they are happy with the alliance, it has already inspired 'artists'. The first was a highly rustic Bhojpuri song titled Cycle ko haat pasand hai, UP ko saath pasand hai, sung to the tune of Sultan's Baby ko bass pasand hai. Another inspired piece of art, is this mash-up which takes dialogues from Shah Rukh Khan’s trailer of Raees and literally puts them in Akhilesh’s mouth. The video is really well put together and depicts PM Modi as Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s character and Rahul Gandhi as the loyal, trusty sidekick.

Imagine this if you will. Imagine that you have in your collection a masterpiece by the great Rembrandt. Now imagine that a fool who does not understand art convinces you that it is just a worthless piece of canvas. Now imagine that you listen to this fool and burn the painting down. Can you imagine yourself doing this?

Imagine now that you own a Model T Ford. A fabulous vintage car that a fool convinces you does not drive anymore so you should push it down the cliff. Now imagine you do this. Are you this person?


Imagine a bottle of the oldest wine. Imagine a heritage property. Imagine antiques. Imagine your parents. Imagine your grandparents. Imagine that you are throwing all this away because you feel all this is worthless. Are you this person?

If you are not, read on, for if you are, chances are you may not like this piece.

Last week we in the world of “Bollywood”, how I hate that term, we had two films release. One was Kaabil, with Hrithik Roshan in the lead. Hrithik and I have worked together and though not a very memorable film, he shall remain one of the best human beings I have met in my life. I shall always hold him close to my heart. The second one was Raaes, with Shah Rukh Khan. I have never worked with Shah Rukh and know him only socially, a powerhouse talent though and that is not even something that needs a mention.


Cut away now, as we say in film parlance, to a man by the name of Kamaal R Khan, with whom I have had a tryst in past and while a lot of people are easily scared of him or don't want to be at the receiving end of his malicious tweets, I for one, have never really cared about malice. Infamy has never really perturbed me. Like fame, it is only temporary, but I digress.



Quite clearly Kaamal R Khan has decided to use all his power to bringRaaes down but it does not end there. To make my case I have no choice but to paste a few of his tweets here.

Why Pak govt allowed to release#Kaabil but not #Raees? Because Pak govt wants people to watch a better film instead Ghisapita masala film.

I agree that SRK was a super star but his attitude and thinking is of Kunal Khemu. This is why he is not a super star today. Purity is must.

If you have watched #Raees and you want ur money back from SRK then RT this. If you liked the film, then like it.

I am sure you get an idea from these tweets, what I am about to say, yet do stick with me for a bit more.

A lot of people around me are rolling their eyes as I write this piece. They complain that this is not my problem. Shah Rukh does not need a piece from me and it will make no difference to the great KRK. They are probably right but they are wrong to say that this is not my problem. This is my problem, it very much is my problem and if you don't get why, scroll up and read again.


My Grandfather sat me down on his lap when I was little and shared with me an insight that never leaves me. He said, “Vikram, there are two kinds of people. One, that seek fame and power with their immense talent and ability. The other, more dangerous kinds, are the ones who want to smear the first kind to seek power and fame.”

I believe, you can be one of the two. A person who gets ahead by getting ahead or a person who wants to get ahead by pulling others behind. The second kind never really stays forever for they can, at best, bask in the reflected glory. The glory of the ones who are ahead. The first kind can easily do without the second but the second kind needs the first, for it needs succesful people to attack. Without anyone to attack they lose their importance.

This man calls himself a critic, but don't be fooled by that, for he is not. He is a slander machine and gets ahead by that very same slander.

If you should read the tweets and there are many more on his tweet timeline, you will see a pattern emerge. This man called KRK is not reviewing a film, he wants to systematically attack the stardom of Shah Rukh Khan. Not that it makes a difference to Shah Rukh Khan but it does, as I said to me.

I do know that icon making and breaking has been the most primitive past time for most but pause here, for pause we must undertand this, a legend is a legend and we cannot standby when someone is trying so hard to bring one down. For the legend does not care but the legend belongs to us and we must care for our legends, like we would care for all things of great value around us. If we standby and watch this schoolyard bully tarnish our legends for his personal gain then we are the fools who are burning the Rembrandt, throwing the Model T of the cliff and disrespecting all things that only grow in value with every passing day.

Success and failures are not people, they are only incidents. In a fast changing universe, they are daily occurences. Use that for slander and you are just an arrogant fool with a ridiculous level of self importance.

I am proud of my legends be it Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan or the lesser known ones today of the bygone era. They are the greats and they will remain the greats. Should my or rather our legends not see a single succesful film from today, they will still remain legends. Like the other priceless things they get more priceless with each passing day.

I don't care if no one should stand with me on this. Attack my legends and I will attack you Mr-Self-proclamined-Critic! I will not let you be the primordial barbarian trying to bring my temples down. I shall mud wrestle with you and bury you in that very same mud!
